Cliveden offers everything you could possibly want from a beautiful luxury country house hotel. The décor is beautiful, with the old library being my favourite – it’s the perfect place to enjoy a glass of red wine after a long walk outside, play Pictionary, and enjoy your friends’ company.
Now, the food is equally perfect. The “Dining Room” has just reopened and is now run by Chef André Garret and most definitely worth a trip. For something more easy going and relaxed try the “Club Room,”, which has a beautiful courtyard and great décor, making it the ideal place to enjoy breakfast outdoors or afternoon tea during the rain. For something really special, we headed out on a boat ride down the Thames…going a whole 4mph…and then enjoyed a riverside picnic. Best and most delicious part of the day!
For even more spectacularness you simply have to take a walk through the unbelievable National Trust Grade I grounds. There are 376 acres of utter beauty! Anyone can visit the grounds and we spent the afternoon wandering about along with families and picnic goers and even tried out the super cool slides!
The park also has the cute “Orangery Café.” It serves scrumptious homemade sandwiches as well as a lunch menu, and everything is made from locally sourced produce. All in all, Cliveden is the perfect place to spend a relaxing, soul inspiring British Weekend!
